hey does autocad and other architectural and design software work on a mac book pro?

1. It would most likely work in a windows virtualized environment. You would need a copy of windows and a program like VMware Fusion (http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/) or Parallels (http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/)
2. Only if you install Windows (dual boot), don't run intensive software using visualization, it will decrease the performance.
