Where Can I Meet New People?

I'm 23 and run my own web design business from my home, I'm not into the bar/club scene at all. I would like to meet new people who share the same interests as me like sports, movies and so forth. Any ideas or websites?

2. As simple as this sounds... online dating. It works. My friend has been online dating for way more than I have and he's been meeting like 3 or 4 girls a month doing this. The man's got a lot of experience under his belt if u know what I mean. I'm sure if you meet the right people, they will introduce you to their friends too and BAM...you're in. In case you're wondering, the one he's been using is below. I've joined it recently too and it's definitely one of the better ones I've used.
3. May sound like I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not trying to be...Since you like sports and movies...why not look there? I mean, when you're at the movies, see if there's anyone around who's alone and see if they'd like a movie buddy. Same for a sporting event. Maybe?
