Pitless elevator for commercial applications?
I am currently designing a (theoretical) library building on stilts. Is there a pitless elevator in the market for commercial applications? Even if my project is theoretical, it has to be buildable. I only know of the "Rise" by ThyssenKrup, which is for residential applications (http://www.progressiveelevators.com/PDFs/bro.rise.pdf). Thanks

- I am sorry, I thought I found one. It said pitless, but when I pulled up the PDF Drawings/Specifications, it requires a 4 foot deep pit. Here are the links: PDF file with drawings: http://www.us.schindler.com/1002_330a_gp_single_f_102306-3.pdf What started all of this: Commercial Elevators The innovative Schindler 330A™ elevator system offers an eco-friendly holeless design that is ideal for low-rise commercial applications. ... http://www.us.schindler.com/sec_index/sec_pass_entry/sec_pass_comm.htm Not knowing the hole story, I am sure a pitless elevator could be designed. I have seen home made pitless freight elevators . They are attached to the building structure. Chain driven. No holes in the floor, the walking surface just comes down and sits on the concrete floor. You could incorporate this design into your project. By the way whey, I clicked your link and this came up: The Link that you clicked on incorrectly points to this page.
