Can you be sued for using someones house plans?

I found a really nice house online but it costs money to download the pdf or CAD. If you were to draw it out on paper and use it can you be sued? If yes, can you make miner changes and not be sued?

1. The architect will sue you. No question. You can't use the plans anyway, your building department will require the architects stamp on every page. And several pages will end up having to be redrawn (just my experience), and fresh stamps applied.
