Cool places to visit or stuff do do in the Netherlands?

I will be spending 2 weeks in the Netherlands, specifically in The Hague and Amsterdam. I already plan on visiting the Van Gogh museum, the Anne Frank house and see the Vermeer painting. What else should I not miss? I am willing to take the train to other interesting surrounding countries or cities.

  1. Check out Neeltje Jans. http://www.neeltjejans.nl/index.php/en/home
  2. You should visit Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam, and Madurodam is also fun to visit : it has tiny versions of lots of famous buildings of The Netherlands a great way to see everything in the country , If you want to see the wooden shoes & old costumes , go to Volendam and dress up like them and eat cheese.
  3. In Amsterdam there's plenty to do.. visiting the museums like you mentioned, or maybe the open markets (Albert Cuyp Markt for example, or Waterlooplein), shopping (Kalverstraat, P. C. Hooftstraat), etc. If you want to see a different "side" of Holland, go to Rotterdam. It's modern and you can hardly find the typical dutch houses. Oh and the clubs and bars are pretty awesome as well :-)
