How much should I expect to pay for interior design consultation?

I would like to hire an interior designer to help me design my home. The furniture throughout my home is high quality and is traditional in style. I may need to add or replace very few furniture items, but seriously need need help with color selection. How much should I expect to pay for color consultation for a 2 story traditional home?

2. Hi there, actually it depends a great deal. I suggest you first make a very clear list with exactly what you want: color consultation is a bit vague. Do you refer to the walls only or do you also take an interest in the color of your furniture? This is a bit expensive, but you could get a lower price if you keep your questions specific and accurate. LloydBurrell
3. On the average, most interior designers expects to receive $20 per hour. If the designer doesn't have a degree in Interior Design but you just enjoy doing the work, you can pay him/her $10 or $12 per hour.
