free bird listing? possibly a gimmick? Please help....?

I was searching for a bird to get after researching different kind I decided to go with the parrot family, I went onto a site that had some listed and I wrote these people an inquiry and they wrote back in 7 minutes with the following response. By the way this blue and gold Macaw is listed for free! I'm thinking maybe a gimmick? Please just let me know your opinion! Thank you very much. Hi, We appreciate your inquiry towards my baby by name YVE.She is 2 years old and some weeks now.We have invested a lot of time and love into this parrot. The plan was for her to be our family pet, so we spent a lot of time making her a well adjusted, happy bird.We have had her since she was 5 weeks old.Although she has bonded to me I feel she will make the transition to someone else pretty quickly because she has always been treated very well by people and has learned to trust she loves to meet strangers and will behave with no sense of shyness or diffidence She is abundantly weaned and can fly.She loves her daily showers. She has already started clicker training and is learning very fast. She retrieves, shakes hands, waves, spins in circles and can talk verry well. She has been trained to wear a harness. She whistles a lot and will play a mimic game with whistle patterns.her words are very clear, When she's hungry she beeps like the microwave. I think she is a great talker!Very good eater - veggies, fruits, seeds/grains, pellets. Here at our house she eats a mash (made of sprouted legumes/grains mixed with veggies and fruit in the food processor) every morning and evening. She will come with a cage. Unfortunately we are unable to keep this great bird due to serious changes in our circumstances. My husband and i had left the United States of America and are presently in New Helense Cameroon all the way from USA and the hotel that we are currently in, does not permits the accommodation of pets in general..We have tried all way in convincing the consultants here at the hotel to accept us live with the parrot but they are refusing based on the fact that it is against their Hotel rules. We thought of looking for a new location but its hard for us to find one.We are therefore looking for a good home that can take good care of this parrot and also love her as if it were their real kid. Well i will be willing to give YVE to your home provided you are going to give her all the necessary care and attention she deserves in the world .Hope your family is gonna be the best for YVE if and only if you can provide us with some info about your home, that will help us better understand your home. That's your family composition, their reactions towards pets in general, whether or not you've owned pets before and how do you intend welcoming YVE into your home. You need not get a cage for her since we will be sending her inside her cage , coupled with her vet and immunization papers against bird flu and the rest.Since you are not around us, we will have to arrange for YVE okay...so do let us know your exact location before hand. Thanks and hope to read soonest from you. My regards "Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened."

  1. YES its a scam. There are a million zillion scams out there for macaws and other large parrots. Start out sounding like for free and end up with you sending money for freight etc for a parrot you never receive. Just google macaw scam and see what you find. I helped another yahoo person just yesterday find the truth of her macaw scam. You will find also that the pictures they send you are robbed off other websites and google images. Google their email address and that usually gets you info, as does their supposed name and name of the birds they are trying to scam you with. If you need help......message me. macaw scams http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=MnY&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&q=macaw+scam&btnG=Search&meta=&aq=f&aqi=g1g-m1&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= ***** Read this.......EXACT same wording as your letter !!! http://www.birdloversonline.com/threads/9167-You-have-got-to-read-this!! 4. 1- New Helense Cameroon .... Its that the name of the Hotel? Cuz to be honest I know no such town in this country. Sounds more like New Orleans, pronounced by a French-speaking pal. Sugg- Ask them what town that is.... you could find out about the major towns in the country online too. 2- "Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened."; why then sacrifice your bird for money (though i take it from the letter that they are GIVING it off). Sugg- In your shirt i wont trust 'em on this one either 3- And howcome these benevolents cant offer their parrot to Cameroonians... Make an advert within the country? To leave the US of A over to Cameroon and pupport to offer your pet from there to people outside Cameroon sounds.... fill in the blanks. Just dont engage in a loss, cause that's what it is. Hope that helps,
