Architectural Designs

Is evolution just a mechanism process?

It can explain the mechanics behind what we see, but how does this explain the design? After all, how can you build a house without architectural plan? or compose a symphony without a score? ex-atheist but at the same time I very much respect the field of science and mathematics because without it there would be no automatic ice dispenser

  1. It is indeed just a mechanical process, and the information content arises from natural selection. For details, see reference. Evolution is now a proven fact; proof details are available on request. (Please provide an e-mail address.)
  2. Evolution is not a process. It is the word used to define the process. We could call it hoosmam if we wanted to. The fact is that the world both outside and in of an organism either kills or promotes that organism. And if it kills the organism before the organism has reproduced, then that gene does not get passed on and the organism is replaced by the ones with the genes that made it possible for it to survive and reproduce. Over time, and entire species of one particular genetic structure is eliminated and another takes its place. There does not need to be any plan from the beginning for this to happen, although certain conditions being constant, the outcome can be predicted to a certain extent. But then, conditions are rarely constant, or there would be no need for the species to change.
  3. A plan even for simple things is the way we humans act. By the way, I doubt a pre-ordered plan would be useful for really complex things. Simpler rules and chance would be a better bet. I'm thinking about phyllotaxis and periodical cicadas. Very simple rules can yeld outstandigly complex and sort of self-organizing patterns. Nature likes fractals, Fibonacci numbers, and primes
