I want to be an Entepenuer.?

Does anyone have any guidance, possibly, direction. I completed a 2 yr. Technical course in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, with my flavor leaning more towards Architectural, rather than Mechanical. I want to design custom floorplans for those that would like to build their dream house. Does anyone have any advice?

1. Just get into a building company and draft foor them (pays high!)
2. Consider getting a Bachelor's degree too, it would help to get hired anywhere to get your started.
3. If you are good at it then invest. Please consider these things before jumping into the wagon. 1. You cannot do it in a remote control. You need to focus your attention building your business. 2. Have sufficient cash flow. 3. Do not use your earnings to spend for your payables. You have to use your cash to finance vital projects. 4. Choose a nice location to set up your own business. 5. Build your contacts. 6. Must have patience. 7. Good customer service and after sales service. 8. Don't borrow money with high interest. 9. Train and retrain people. 10. Build a marketing thrust.
4. You may want to start advertising to people who live in rental propeties looking to build, or those in condos or townhomes looking to relocate into their "Dream Home". You could even network with realtors and loan agents to find potential clients.
5. I think the way to be an entrepreneur is to just do it! I have had a number of small businesses, and here are a few tips to get started. First you need a DBA , a sales tax number, a business certificate,for all the info. on this, you can contact your local Coop.Extension. You may have to start in a company that does remodeling or building to get experiance.
6. I guess your practical experience is required to stand up on your own . This can be achieved either you under go some working experience with a bigger firm where you can gain experience, contacts, have more confidence, etc which are very necessary and i feel a person who wants to have a dream house should not just be a house in dreams. I would strongly advise you to work and gain more knowledge.
7. I dont know about in your area but you should check the local business schools in your area that specialize in that field and go to school so that you can get better knowledge and then take the steps into working for yourself. Your local SCORE office should be your first stop
