Can you use a civil engineering degree for interior design?

I'm going into my 3rd year of college and I'm studying civil engineering. I just found a new love for interior design since in redoing my own bedroom at home. Since civil engineering and design go together, I was wondering if you can go into interior design with a civil degree.
