Interior design help for bedroom?

I am a 15 year old girl and I'm going to be decorating my bedroom in my new house and the theme I am going for is a moroccan indian type thing. This would include rich warm colors and gold and bronze accents. I was thinking lots of pillows, no headboard just a mattress on the ground, and drapes covering the bed. Does anyone have suggestions to help me complete this look?

  1. Dream catchers are beautiful & would go great with your theme!
  2. a lot of pillows, low table, lots of candles, rug-brown, red, beige colors http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/user/default.aspx?UserID=3655481&MsdVisit=1 http://ezinearticles.com/?Decorating-Idea---Moroccan-Inspired-Bedroom&id=4802484
  3. i read in a paint colours brochure that stencilling on the wall where the headboard should be is a good idea. try a lighter colour than that of your wall colour (and possibly slightly metallic) and look up wall stencilling on a how-to site like eHow. also, add decorations like metal pots and wooden shallow bowls. try painting furniture in simillar and contrasting colours to the colours elsewhere. look up paint brochures and websites for colour combinations. some paint companies have online helpers. also, metallic light shades, patchwork quilts in vibrant colours, gold framed pictures (loads of them on the one wall). if you can find this book ''choosing colours'' by Kevin McLoud, it will be a good resource for you. try your local library for colour palette books which might suggest the Morrocan theme. or use the internet. an alternative to your chosen colour palette is blue and silver so you might want to look into this. finally are you sure you want to have no bedframe-it might not be good for your back-maybe try a metal one and drape fabric over it or look out for a four-poster in ikea. you can get frames that aren't quite four-posters but have a small frame above the bed from which you can hang fabric. curtains can apparently be made with fabric and a hot-glue gun. look it up on a how-to website and then pick any fabric you like in a fabric store. alternatively, get ready-made curtains and hang a transparent, light material cover over them (i think you can find whitish ones in ikea but look elsewhere for different colours). hope that helps! :)
