Does anyone have advice on online interior design schools?

I am looking for an interior design course online. I have always been interested in decorating and design although I am not sure if I want a career in or not. I am not looking for a degree right now (not yet anyway); I just want to "wet my feet" so to speak. I have looked at Sheffield School, The Interior Design Institute, and others. I am leaning towards The Interior Design Institute, but I am not sure if it is good idea or not. Has anyone done one of their courses, and would you recommend it? Or is this whole idea just a waste of time? I just want to hear a few different opinions before a make a decision. Thanks!

  1. i think you need to make sure that the course you apply for will give you qualification's that can result in obtaining a position in the industry. as the min requirement seems to be a 3 year full time course how long online. i know you can get a degree where a lot of the assignments have to be online but you still have to go in person to learn as well. if its a thirst for knowledge and not a position in the industry ok but your time is important and you should end up with a qualification that can be recognised as a standard everywhere,
