What's the difference between a landscape architect and a landscape designer?

Best answer will be the answer that gives a detailed explanation of each occupation. But is the basic difference a landscape architect designs the area and a landscape designer will actually create the plan? Or is a landscape architect basically a more qualified landscape designer who does the same job, but for more money because of more knowledge studied?

1. Landscape architecture is the design of outdoor and public spaces to achieve environmental, socio-behavioral, and/or aesthetic outcomes. It involves the systematic investigation of existing social, ecological, and geological conditions and processes in the landscape, and the design of interventions that will produce the desired outcome. 2. simply put.... the architect has the ability to move a mountain in your backyard, in such as way as to not flood the neighbors or create landslides..... then the designer decorates it by choosing the best plants for the area.....
