Architectural Designs

not too sure if to do the HND in architectural design or change and do BA Architecture. wat shell i do?

I AM GONNA BE STARTING THE hnd SOON IN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN.. I HAVE CHOSEN THIS COURSE, JUST INCASE I WOULD FIND IT TOO HARD AND THEN AFTER IT SEE HOW IT GOES BUT well i have 2 alevels: Graphic Design = E and Finance = D i also have passed keyskils in I.T. and have done FSMQ and got a B for that.. also i have a D in gcse Maths and a C in English language. Do you think this would be enough to do a BA in Architecture?

  1. Whatever you decide to do, I would recommend that you try to improve your English. As a potential employer, I would be put off if your letter of application was of a standard anything like this question.

  3. Architecture is a very challenging major and has a very high dropout rate when compared to other majors. In my state architects are required to have a Masters degree in order to practice the trade. But if you are really serious about it I would recommend brushing up on your english language and even more important your math abilities, because architecture requires a very high aptitude in mathematics... I hope this has been helpful.
  4. with your grades you will need to work a lot to do B Arch but since you have passes in it you can try *.Bsc (Hons) Architectural Visualisation - (3 years to complete) - *.Bsc (Hons) Computer Aided Design and Construction - (3 years to complete) - they are part of architecture but you will be using computer skills a lot . Note B.Arch takes 7 years to complete . -you won't be an Architect but a CAD Technician .
