  1. It really depends on whether the BA Architecture is a professionally recognised qualification that will allow you to work as an architect. Some of the more presigious degrees such as Law for example, will only allow access to the 2nd year of the degree course after completion of the HND. The more popular universities will also ask for a substantial number of merit passes during your HND studies. If you can gain access to the 3rd year then I would think it was a good idea. Just be really sure it is what you want to do.
  2. Yes. HND can be a great route to university and has the added bonus of a more practical first two years. It also gives you the HND qualification which you can't lose even if you can't complete the drgree for some reason.
  3. NO I would suggest against it. Reason: BA in Architecture is not an acreditted degre = you cannot be licensed with that degree. Unless it is a 5 year BArch program. I tried to do this same thing not realising what architecture school was like. you have to take ALL the design studios Which means no matter when you transfer into the program you have 4 years of MANDATORY design studios. 7years for a BA? Graduate with your current major then go into Grad school for architecture. You will receive a MArch (Masters of Architecture) and you can be licensed. This is what I have decided to do and The decision has worked out very good for me.
