2. Graphics is the most important component in a gaming system & the Mobility Radeon HD 5870 Crossfire v/s GeForce GTX 460M SLI is pretty much neck and neck http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html but then the i7 950 cpu is a desktop one, with a max tdp of 130 watts http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=37150 so it's advantage M17x over the 101 X7200 the i7 840QM has a marginal advantage over the i7 740QM, but then the XPS 17 has pretty much crappy graphics
