Which of these 2 gaming rigs should i go for?

Are the parts up to date to run with modern games? Would it be a good idea to look inside my fathers PC for parts that may be useful (he never uses it and it's in the cupboard! I have no idea how up to date it is but it's in a nice case and it may be running windows 95 but he could of changed the theme, He has no idea what he does on computers and i think he got it off of his friend who i hate) Is there any cheaper gaming rigs that are pre-made that could run modern games at a high frame rater (higher than 20 fps is quite high for me lol).? If anyone can, In the UK, Could you design me a gaming pc online that is pretty cheap but worthy of modern games, And i'll just change some stuff that isn't necissery (Like the HD, Case, Optical drives ect) . Yes, I know that the HD is necessary for the system but i mean the size of it. Fuck you and your alienware, I refuse to buy that shit!

1. Buy an alienware computer.
2. Both are good, but I would maybe go for a 3.2GHz instead of a 2.9GHz CPU for medium/high gaming. If I had to choose from the two rigs I would go for the second one (I prefer ATI Radeon cards) The ATI Radeon HD 5770 - 1 GB card is friggin awesome for the price.
