architecture in australia!?

hi. i've been reading up on the architecture coursework for the university of melbourne and sydney university. i was wondering, why is it that in the sydney university, you study for the bachelors of design in architecture and followed by a masters in architecture, while in university of melbourne you've gotta do 2 years of architectural studies before getting a bachelors of architecture? and subsequently the masters is done separately? what's the difference between both coursework? thank you for your time!
