Is there a digital 3-D design software i can download (free)?

Is there a digital 3-D design software i can download (free)? i just got an iMac and ive notice i don't even have "paint" or a drawing program. Im looking for that as well as hmm don't know the name or the proper way to describe it but a program that lets me make 3-d models. For anything but looking for architectural Design really. Thank you.

1. you can use MAYA, MAX, COREL DRAW, AUTOCAD, download those softwares from torrentz so it ll be free or as a free license you have paint, pencil drawing etc normal softwares but not 3D
2. For 3D Modelling, I suggest using Blender: http://www.blender.org/ This is a commercial-grade software application that is simple yet also powerful and capable of producing amazing 3D models. The application is open-source and completely free of charge. For 2D Graphics/Image Editing, I suggest using GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/ GIMP is similar to Photoshop in it's purpose and feature-set. It does have a small learning curve, but it is still a powerful 2D drawing application. Like Blender, GIMP is also open-source and completely free of charge. 3. blender for 3d gimp for 2d, althought they might have some shoddy 3d tools, but should really go to blender for that.
