1. Have you never heard of FLOSS? Google for open source software. Select a small-ish application. Download its source code and documentation. Contact the developers on its team and -- most likely -- they'll be glad to clarify anything you don't follow after studying the docs and code source. Now if you mean "requirement specification" and "architecture design" out of a textbook, you'll perhaps need to reword what you find above to satisfy your instructor. Still, GPL software is the best available and highest quality software you'll find IMHO. Good luck!
