Can I start my own at home Interior Design business without taking the NCIDQ?

Can I start my own at home Interior Design business with an AA degree in interior design and architecture. I went to an accredited school and graduated in 09. I cant afford to go for my BA and due to me only having my AA, I am unable to take the NCIDQ. I have had years of real world experience and want to start my own little business at home. I'm already working on a business plan and have my logo done.. Has anyone been in my shoes and successfully started their own business with an AA degree in interior design? Also, since I have finished school with an AA degree but have not taken the NCIDQ, does that mean I'm an interior designer or interior decorator? Thanks for your help!!
