Hi how much would it cost if I plan to have a small bathroom in my guest house?

Hi I live on a guest house & I was planning to add a small bathroom. I wanted at least about 9 feet high & 6 feet wide. How much would it cost me if I plan to this project? Thank you. P.S. I already have both handyman & constructor to do the project. Yes I need the water pipe first before I start the project.

  1. 3,600 $ dollars would be my estimate, assuming your going to have a combination shower and bath bc its only 6x9 and a toilet and a sink, it might be a little more if you wanted to add fancey decrative towels or objects
  2. That's hard to answer. Get some estimates before starting any job like this. Also get references as there are plenty of company's/private carpenter's that don't guarantee there work. You do want all work guarantied if something should happen down the line. Word of mouth is a good place to start if you have friends or relatives that have had construction work done. You can also call Better Business Bearue to see if their name comes up on their list. Be sure to get everything in writing even if they say it is not needed. It's almost impossible to tell you how much such a job is going to cost. It depends on what kind of materials you use. That's why you need to get at least three estimates before beginning any project like the one you are referring to.
  3. Yeah, like the other poster said, get some estimates. A person who can really give you a local going rate of the cost of such a project is a local remodeling contractor, as such a contractor does such additions all the time. Fortunately, there are plenty of local remodeling contractors seeking to give free estimates with no obligation, and taking advantage of this is the consumer-smart way to go about finding an accurate answer to your question. Unlike us here online, a contractor who gives you a no-obligation, free estimate will have the advantage of seeing your house in person to really understand what--how--the improvements will be done. Here's a great link to a handyman site that offers free very resourceful information to assist you in your project, and, ultimately, selecting a local remodeling contractor: REMODELING CONTRACTOR INFO: http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_Free_Estimates_Additions.htm I'm sure you'll find the information, specifically the tips, useful. . Source(s): The Internet. Just whatever is available online and what I have on my mind, including the inclusion of relevant sites, like the one cited above that came about from my creative efforts, which is intended to be useful. Helping people get the relevant info they want is great.
  4. This is Tito Property, it really depends what you intend to put in there... the main thing would be if its a full bathroom or half bathroom. If its ful or half always ensure that you make it ADA accessible. These bathrooms Ive found end up being cheaper and more attractive - this is always an option. The site below give you some really good ways to do this...
