Designs for building 4 12 in subwoofer custom box?
I have 2 12in polk audio subs, but I am planning on buying 2 more subs. I drive a Ford Explorer and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or plans to build a 4 12 in imported subwoofer box to fit into my car, I have roughly 34 inches from my back of my car to the 2nd row of seats because I leave the third row down, and roughly 43 inches wide to build the box. Any ideas?

- Subs up port back Roughly 12 to 15 sq. Inches per cubic ft. Typically 12s need 1.25 to 2.00 cubic ft each Tune low for more sq ~ 28 to 35 htz Tune high for more loudness ~ 36 to 45 htz Just depends what you listen to. Now take those numbers and design a box. If you want someone to design it people pay good money for that, unless they're feeling generous. Google sketch up is a free program you can use to design a box. Search for Torres box calculator, it too is free and can help crunch in those numbers. Explorers get silly loud so if you make a good box, you will get loud.
