  1. "Commercial practices" seems to have a special meaning that your instructor knows. I think the general public here at Yahoo Answers may have a hard time helping you with this. Is there a text book you are using that helps explain this? You could always ask other classmates or the instructor for some examples. Commercial practices seems to be the customary way people conduct business. So, it sounds like a very wide range of conduct, even for just the construction of a building. And what is customary may be different in different locales. Each state in the US may have a different way of doing business, though probably very similar. Each country would have different practices. I think if you can narrow down the question, you might be able to get some helpful responses. In the US, The Uniform Commercial Code is a codification of business practices though it is a little overwhelming without something specific to look for.
  2. The term "commercial practices" implies comprehensive and wide-sweeping practices and regulations that are too complex and numerous to be answered here. My suggestion is that you locate applicable reference publications in the building industry that will answer your question. Often you can find this material either in a library or online. You might also check with a licensed architect or general contractor for help with your question.
