Web design resolution problem?

I have just built a website for my church. but have just noticed that there is a problem with it when viewed on a wide-screen computer on a normal monitor it looks fine ; But on a widescreen monitor it is all pushed over - I am new to this and designed it using the WSWG part of dreamewaver and dont really understand code. the web address is www.hurstwoodchurch.org.uk thanks Pauline I dont know how to do CSS properly either - can you give me an idiots guide?

  1. Oooh... You need CSS. The way i would do this is with CSS, making a style sheet for the page. It isnt too hard, and everything will be in a "wrapper", meaning no matter what the resolution, the site will be the same.
  2. omg... do NOT use maps & area shapes in your web pages. aspecially if you're not good in coding. why not to purchase ready-to-use good web site template or get it for free for example, here - http://virtualpromote.com/templates/premium.php/Religious/ there are bushels of fine template packs through all the internet. *notice: it isn't a good idea to use _comic sans_ font for religious-themed web site. there are no anything _comic_ in God and His Church =(
  3. #apDiv1 { position:absolute; width:316px; ... Try changing this from absolute to relative and then adjust the position move it outside of the outer box that contains the rest of the page then you will probably need to set the position's Y value to a negative number
