What types of engineers are used to design and build commercial aircraft?

- Jet engines
- in the UK...you have to undergo a 3 year Aircraft Engineering course before you can work on building or repairing an aircraft. All manufacturers and Airlines have their own training courses.
- Three types: Jet Engineers Flight Engineers Safety Engineers Amongst Others.
- every engineering area is used in aircraft manufacturing. Electrical, mechanical, design, quality, structural, materials, design, and many hundreds more that would be a long boring list. If you go to Boeing.com or Lockheedmartin.com and look under "Careers" you will see job postings for engineers of every specialty. The engineers do not actually build the airplanes, those are assemblers, who follow blueprints, schematics and instruction cards to piece it all together, according to what the engineer designs
- Aeronautics engineers
- aeronautic engineers mechanical engineers aerospace engineer
- Aircraft Engineers, Mechanical engineers, Propulsions engineers, Aerospace engineers, Electrical engineers, as well as about 50 other non engineering types such as Safety specialists, metalurgists, chemists, Airframes and powerplants experts (that arn't engineers) Pilots, Draftsmen/women, Ergonomics experts,
- Aircraft engineers.
- Aerospace Engineers help design commercial aircraft. Although the design hasn't changed much in the last 40 years or so. Engineers just study the design and say whether the integrity of the plane would change. Things like that. Sometimes they also help with figuring out how to repair something that wasn't meant to break. To design commercial airplanes, I would think that you would have to be a badass in Graphic Design, and be an engineer so you could inspect your own work for flaws. Etc.

- Usually jet engineers, but depending on the plane, it can change. For example, ordinary planes are made by average, professional jet engineers, but private planes usually have improved, more experienced jet engineers, because the people who buy them are usually celebs, so they want the best quality.
- aeronutical engineers
