- A big oval table that sits 25 persons. 25 comfortable chairs with elbow-rest. A coffee machine and cupboard. A white screen for head-up projectors. A telephone with hand-free options. A big scratch pad, a blackboard.
- I agree with the first answer, the only thing I'd add is a conference call phone speaker - - helps when you have a lot of people involved in a conference call. If you have the option, I'd also go with a "cool" color. They can be soothing and business psychology believes they may keep meeting more productive and tend to help a little to downplay any hostility. Good Luck - enjoy. Sounds like this could be a fun project as long as you aren't swamped with other work.
- an oval shapes or a round shaped table are common but we have designed a new o shaped table where the people are sitting in the middle as well as all around the table
- how about a diamond shaped table
- Here are some considerations. What kind of meetings will be conducted ? If you are going to be the one to decide the size of the room you will have to determine if the seating will be auditorium-style or classroom -style. Classroom style utilizing 6-8 tables, depending on orientetion to the speaker, will take up about twice the floor space as row seating. Will the speaker be at a table or a lecture stand ? Will the chairs be padded or folding ? Carpet ? Windows ? Curtains ? Blinds ? Will you need visuals like TV and audio ? Will you need an easel ? A blackboard ? Special lighting ? A sink ? A telephone ? Will accommodations for refreshments be available nearby ? Do you have your own zone of the Central air conditioning system or do you have a dedicated unit ? Will it be noisy ? Will outside noise be a problem ? Will your noise be a problem ? What else will the room be used for ? How soon do you need it ? What is your budget ?
