Help me with my grade 11 math?? :)?

A stained glass window for the entrance of Matt's new office building is to be designed by Stacey. Stacey decides to design the window in the shape of a rectangle capped with a semi circle. The perimeter of the window is to be 30m. The price of the stained glass is $9.75/m squared. Determine the total cost of the glass required for this window to have a maximum area? Thanksss :) I tried "trial and error" but it tooook foooorrever. Can anyone smart out there help me?? lol :)

  1. it doesn't matter the shape of the window, the main thing that you know the perimeter is 30m. so just imagine a rectangle with the perimeter of 30m. it gives you 7,5m*7,5m rectangle. which is 56.25 square metre. 56,25 * $9.75 = $ 548,4375 that is the price i think.
