Building a home at the end of a canyon. Wind all he time, sometimes gusty. How can I make the wind work with
...me or for me in the design? Could I put in windmills that are hidden and sell electricity back to the city without ruining the design or harming the character (old) of the area? I know this is a tough question, maybe a very tough question. Thank you for reading and thinking about it. I appreciate it!

- Plant a row of windbreaker trees to stop the wind. You could get creative and plant a mixture of flowering tree. An orchard of nice fruits would be nice. You will have to buy some pretty big trees for them to do any good. Otherwise you will have to wait 20-30 years for them to grow up enough to be of any help. Check at the nursery, maybe they have some special kind of trees that grow fast. You can hide your windmills behind the trees.
- Make sure you calculate the general wind direction and build at an angular disposition to it , with no face openly and directly facing the constant direction. Resistance is dramatically reduced and stress taken off of the structure when you do this. There are a number of small wind generators available now, along with new solar technologies , thin film , and also roof shingle replacement solar panels, the actually become the shingles for your roof , look very good too. e-mail me for the details. I will make a list for you. TC klik this http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=roof+shingle+solar&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
