Are there any green built or designed bridges or civil engineering structures?

We all know about the green housing initiative. But what about green engineering? I'm writing a paper and was wondering whether there were any green bridges, highways, etc. civil engineering structures out there that are built environmentally friendly. It'd be cool to know, as well. Thanks!
